Keppel Anglican

I'M NEW

Welcome to Keppel Anglican Churches

We gather together, in Yeppoon and Emu Park each weekend. We enjoy seeking to be shaped by God into an authentic, caring community. We seek to be prayerful, informed by the Bible, and open to the Holy Spirit’s leading. We are immensely grateful for the hope,

forgiveness and purpose we find in Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection.
We desire to be used by God to bring restoration and love to his world.

We are a bunch of ordinary people who have been changed by Jesus and are powered by the love of Jesus to live for him.
You are very welcome to join with us.

I'M NOT A CHRISTIAN OR ANGLICAN - AM I WELCOME?

Absolutely! Our doors are open to everyone, as we believe that the good news of Jesus is for everyone. We’d love to help you to explore this good news, and to put your faith in Jesus. Our church services are a great place for you to do this.

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?

We aim to start our services on the advertised time, but you might like to arrive a bit earlier.

HOW LONG DOES THE SERVICE GO FOR?

Our services runs for one hour and 15 minutes. You are also welcome to join us for morning tea or supper after the service.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

We want you to feel comfortable joining us for a weekend service. Please just come as you are – church is about the people you’re with, not the clothes you’re wearing.

WHERE DO I SIT?

You are welcome to sit anywhere. There’s no reserved or VIP seating, so as long as no one else is sitting on the seat, you’re welcome to sit there!

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE SERVICE?

Each week the order may change, but there are some common parts to all of our church services. There is a time of singing. We hear the Bible read and preached (the sermon is a talk that goes for 20 minutes). Someone leads the church in a time of prayer to God.

This might be unfamiliar to you and that’s ok – you’re welcome to just listen in, and nothing is expected of you – see the next point!

WHAT PARTICIPATION IS REQUIRED?

We want you to feel welcome to come and listen in, without fear of being asked to do anything you’re uncomfortable with. You can leave whenever you like, and while you can remain as anonymous as you want to be, we encourage you to introduce yourself to us – we’d love to meet you.

ARE CHILDREN WELCOME?

Absolutely – church is for people of all ages and stages. The 9:30 service is especially geared towards families.
